ABOUT US
"The term Multiculturalism generally refers to a de
facto state of racial, cultural and ethnic diversity
within the demographics of a specified place,
usually at the scale of an organization such as a
school, business, neighbourhood, city or nation.
Some countries have official, or de jure policies of
Multiculturalism aimed at recognizing, celebrating
and maintaining the different cultures or cultural
identities within that society to promote social
cohesion. In this context, Multiculturalism advocates
a society that extends equitable status to distinct
cultural and religious groups, with no one culture
predominating."

HUB CHICAGO is a multicultural business, marketing
and education resource, a research tool, a forum for
artists and a source for the hottest in local
entertainment, nightlife and food. HUB CHICAGO is
also the founding city for what we hope and expect
will be a global business and social network that
supports and advocates fair trade, social justice,
peace and environmental activism. HUB is as much
a full service advertising and marketing agency as
much as a marketplace of ideas, culture and media.
It is both a virtual landscape and a network of
institutions, professionals, entrepreneurs, students,
artists, and people who want to work, learn, share,
play and do business in this most diverse and
vibrant of marketplaces.
Members of HUB CHICAGO seek to build a strong
and dynamic multicultural community and
marketplace by conducting research, sharing ideas
and user generated content (UGH), personal
communications and business transactions within
HUB.
HUB CHICAGO brings together the information, tools
and resources that business owners, marketers,
artists and students need to understand, reach and
engage the full spectrum of the Chicagoland
multicultural marketplace, be it Hispanic, African
American, Asian, Ethnic European, Middle Eastern,
GLBT, or Fusion. HUB also combines the best
aspects of blogging, news sharing, professional
networking (online & offline), event calendars,
entertainment, digital galleries for musicians and
artists, research, wikis and cross-cultural
collaborations.
HUB CHICAGO recognizes the value of its users'
time and the User Generated Content (UGC) that is
contributed and thus rewards this investment and
creativity in tangible ways. Among other perks, HUB
will reward members for conducting business
transactions through the HUB, interacting with
content (articles, blogs, videos, etc.) and attending
HUB CHICAGO events. These rewards (hub points)
can be used to acquire goods and services from
member companies and institutions at a discount or
your points can be donated to charities of your
choice.
HUB is owned by it’s users and contributors, not a
corporate or holding company.
Members of the senior management team are all
experts within their respective fields and offer a
complete set of marketing consulting and
multicultural training services. A round-table of
industry visiting experts will also assist in special
projects.
Highschool and university partnerships are being
created to bring real-world solutions to real-world
problems both as a learning opportunity and a
revenue-generating enterprise for those schools
and students. We plan on bringing this program full
circle by developing real career pathways and real
work opportunities for students in their areas of
interest by providing well-trained and skilled pool of
talent for member and client organizations.
